For over seven decades, my art has been a journey through the heart and the beauty of the boundless. While I am always painting, my creative process flows in cycles, each marked by deep immersion in a particular style, theme and medium. These phases, lasting months or even years, result in collections that reflect the evolving seasons of my soul.
Current Collection: Gold Leaf Dreams
My current work blends the luminous shimmer of gold leaf with the rich depth of oil, creating radiant landscapes that tell stories of emotion, beauty, and the sacred. This phase is pure and simple, yet highly skilled, focusing on delicate subjects like orchids, hummingbirds, lilypads, and dragonflies. The gold brings a sense of richness and reverence to these quiet, timeless forms, elevating their simplicity into something extraordinary.
A Lifetime of Creative Phases
Since my formal art studies in my 20s, I’ve explored countless creative phases, each one deeply shaped by my inner world and the themes that called to me. Here are some of the highlights from my artistic journey.
Archetypal Reflections
In this phase, I worked with gouache on watercolor paper to explore universal patterns and symbolic forms of the human psyche. Each piece began with an intricate drawing process, followed by layers of color that brought the interconnectedness of all forms to life. Often, one image morphed into another, reflecting archetypal energies where shape and meaning intertwine. These works invite viewers to look beyond appearances, awakening to deeper truths and infinite curiosity.
Visionary Realms
This phase brought dreamy, multidimensional themes to life through oil painting. Each piece captured the mysteries of the universe, blending light, depth, and form into ethereal compositions that invite reflection.
Abstract Depths
Embracing oil’s texture and richness, this phase explored emotion through abstraction. Layers of color and form created works that speak to the unspeakable—depths of feeling that go beyond words.
Radiant Realism
This phase celebrated the natural world through photo-realistic depictions of scenes from Florida and California. With a mastery of light, shadow, and water, each painting became a meditation on the beauty of place and the subtle transformations brought about by light.
A Foundation in Artistry
My artistic foundation was shaped by formal training as an art major in college, followed by studies at the San Francisco Art Institute and the Art Students League in NYC. Over the years, my work has been exhibited across California, Florida, and North Carolina, earning recognition in competitions and features in International Artist Magazine.
A Parallel Spiritual Journey
In addition to my artistic endeavors, my spiritual journey has profoundly influenced my work. Leading retreats and groups on Awakening for many years, I’ve also authored two books, Boundless and From the Heart of Boundless, which explore themes of spiritual transformation and self-discovery.
